This whole sequence reminds me somewhat of the work of fantasy artist Ian Miller...
The girl (angel?) with her big egg.
She goes about her strange daily water collecting business. They have similar big round bottles in the live action bits, but with Ribena in them.
Here's the girl with the soldier. In the Aftermath dub he is her brother, but in the proper version they don't seem to know who each other are.
